The universal design of the LeafCat will fit the greater majority of Z-Turn mowers as is. The occasional Z-turn mower will require additional hardware. The key element to a proper fitment is a flat surface at the rear of the mower that the Leafcat lower mounting frame can be attached to. On lawn tractors the LeafCat is attached to the rear mounting surface (the same area a grass bagger would be attached to). On Zero Turn mowers the LeafCat is attached to the rear engine guard (special mounting plates are included with the LeafCat  Zero Turn unit Model #12748). If you are uncertain of a good fit for your specific lawn tractor/zero turn mower you can send a photo of the rear of your tractor/mower to info@leafcat.com and one of our techs will confirm if the LeafCat will fit your mower or not..Alternatively you can send the year, make and model of your mower to info@leafcat.com and we will research your mower and confirm if the LeafCat is a good fit or not.

Sourcing/fabricating a mounting plate that is attached to the draw bar and hitch arm is typically required.


The Model 12748 bag/cage has an 18-bushel capacity.

You need a compatible connection between the mower deck discharge and collection chute. The LeafCat Universal Deck Boot Kit is one available solution. Alternatively you can contact the mower manufacturer to determine if they offer a deck boot and chute tube specific to your mower.

The LeafCat collection bag uses a large metal drop door to unload collected material.
